Walking through wild places creates space to slow down, gain perspective, and reconnect with what matters. Through shared experience, reflection, and conversation, clarity emerges, not from overthinking, but from doing.

The journey is supported by evidence-based behaviour change psychology to help you make sense of what comes up, identify what truly matters, and turn that insight into practical next steps.

This isn’t about fixing yourself or escaping. It’s about doing something real, building confidence through action, reconnecting with who you are and who you want to be, then returning home with renewed momentum and self-belief.

Out on the hills, we don’t just talk about change, we take steps to experience it.

Why Roaming to Recovery?

Being in nature and moving alongside others shifts perspective in a way that sitting often can’t. Confidence builds through action. Resilience develops through challenge. Clarity comes from honest conversation and time away from noise, pressure, and expectation. As we surmount new obstacles we once doubted were possible, self-esteem and well-being naturally grow. Alongside the physical experience, time is set aside for nutritious home-cooked meals, reading, journaling, meditation, board/card games, and structured reflection with future goal setting. In addition, you will be provided with a Roaming to Recovery workbook, which we will complete during the program.
